Did we visit after?
I have received a lot of emails asking if I have since returned to Harbor Place.
Luckily, about a year after our stay we went back. We actually filmed that also.
As we drove in you wouldn't believe who was walking towards the car and on his way to the Dollar Store--Bill...We quickly stopped and shouted 'Bill!'. He looked over but couldn't see. He tried adjusting his glasses as he walked towards the car...'Hey I know you'. We parked and walked with Bill back to Harbor Place.
Tammy and Libby knew we were on our way and were waiting outside.
'Where have you boys been? You're late!' yelled Libby. We laughed and walked around. My mom was with us, and sure enough, Bill began hitting on her--nothing new there.
We sat down with residents and a few employees and watched the movie. Now of course I thought Tammy and Libby would want to see every scene but as Tammy said, 'We live this everyday!'. Libby said 'Fast-foward to the parts we're in!' They loved it--even the part towards the end when they get in that yelling match because Tammy didn't wait for Libby when she went on the 'nightly walk'. 'I don't know why you can't wait...I sure do get upset' Libby laughed with Tammy.
Gotta run but more stories on our return to Harbor Place--thank you for your continued messages to Libby and general thoughts on the movie.

Dear Andy:
Congratulations of the Cinemax showing. I am retired now but I sent an email back to everyone you
met at our conference. You have a real fan club
here in West Virginia. I
will be looking for you in Hollywood.

I loved your movie but even more I loved that you thought of it in the first place. I have always had strong feelings about this very subject. I laughed and cried during your movie and felt even more motivated to be a better friend to the elderly. I can only hope your movie and your message will encourage others to do the same. I do not have enough room here to tell you how this project moved me. God bless you!

I watched your film on Cinemax, and it moved me all the way from tears to laughing hysterically! It was simply amazing. I'm 17 years old and volunteer at an Assisted Living Facility nearby, and I know how inspiring the elderly can be on someone who's just starting to live life. It's simply amazing. Good luck on your jouney, and I hope you find what you're looking for. God Bless

Just thought i'd share this...greatttt job. awesome movie.
I work at an assisted living and every day, i experience what u experienced in that month but not on the same level. It made me realize how special my job really is. Although I'm just a receptionist, i get to interact with each and every one of the residents. I watched the movie tonight and thought it was absolutely incredible. It was funny, it was sad, and more importantly, SOOOOO real. Every new person you met I would compare to a resident where I work. It was awesome haha. It made me want to get so much closer to the residents at the assisted living i work. Congrats on an awesome movie and good luck at the film festivals. My mom and I both agree that it deserves as much recognition as possible. :-)

Andy, I cannot express how much of an impact your movie has made, even to myself who has worked in nursing homes for 18 years. I run a volunteer program in Boston and plan to show this at orientation for local college students tomorrow prior to exposing them to our residents. This film gives a true understanding in 90 minutes of the wonderful qualities that our elders have to share. I have told so many people about this movie and hope that this film continues to impact others, I promise to keep sharing it with everyone that I see! Good luck to you, Melissa
